FAQ
Every question I get before someone books.
Do I own the lights?
No, and that's the point. Owning lights means storing them, testing them every fall, and paying to replace them when they fail. I own them. If a strand fails, I replace it within 48 hours at no charge. In January I take everything down, label it with your name, and store it. You never see a box of lights.
What happens if I move?
Your set was cut for your roofline, so it stays with the house it was made for. Move inside my service area and I quote the new house at your current year's discount, not year one. Move out of the valley and the agreement ends with no fee.
What if I cancel?
Before your install date, your deposit comes back in full. After the lights are cut to your house, the deposit is non-refundable, because those runs fit your roofline and nobody else's. There is no fee for not renewing.
Do you do permanent lights?
Not this season. If you want a permanent track system, tick the "permanent" box on the quote form and I'll refer you to a partner I'd use on my own house.
When do you install?
Installs start Oct 20. The two weeks before Thanksgiving fill first. Book in October and you pick the week. Book after Thanksgiving and you take what's open.
What kind of lights?
Commercial-grade C9 LED bulbs on heavy socket cord, the same product used on commercial buildings. Bright, cool-running, and a fraction of the power of box-store strands. Warm white or multicolor, or both.
What about my HOA?
Most HOAs in the valley publish a window for holiday displays and rules about what can attach to the house. I use clips, never nails or screws, and I schedule the takedown before the window closes. If your HOA needs a form, send it and I'll fill it out.
Do you do Halloween?
Orange and purple C9 on the same roofline is available as a two-holiday lease. Ask on the quote form. It doubles the time the lights are up and the price reflects that.
How do you attach lights to a tile roof?
Tile and gutter clips that grip the edge without any fastener. Nothing is drilled, glued, or nailed. On stucco I follow the roofline, not the wall.
Where do the lights plug in?
An exterior outlet, usually in the garage or on the patio. I supply the timer and the cord run. If your only outlet is inside, I'll say so at the quote and price the run.
What about wind?
The valley gets wind events every December. Commercial socket cord and clips hold in it. If something comes down anyway, that's my fix guarantee, not your problem.
How long does the install take?
Most single-story fronts take a crew about two hours. Two-story and trees run half a day. You don't need to be home.
Is the price really locked?
Yes, in writing, in the agreement you sign. Year 1 is year 1. Year 2 is 10% less. Year 3 is 20% less. Year 4 and every year after is 30% less. That doesn't change with inflation or with what I charge new customers.
Can I add to my display later?
Yes. Trees, wreaths, a garage outline. Add-ons are priced flat and follow the same yearly decline.
Do you serve my neighborhood?
All of Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin, North Las Vegas, Spring Valley, Enterprise, Boulder City, and the unincorporated county between them. If your address is on the service area page, yes.
$8 a foot.Goes down every year.
